Discover and explore the names and locations of all the countries in the United Kingdom with this educational app that complements the geography materials used in Montessori Classrooms.

Lesson #1 focuses on learning the names and locations of the countries in the United Kingdom:

• Tap on a country in the filmstrip to change the featured country on the page.
• Click on the speaker button to hear the correct pronunciation of the country name.
• Touch the compass button to see the country highlighted on the map!

The map itself follows a color scheme consistent with the physical materials used in Montessori classrooms.

In Lessons #2 & #3, children can assemble a complete United Kingdom puzzle map using pieces that are exact replicas of the physical Montessori materials:

• In the first puzzle map lesson, children are presented with a blinking country puzzle piece on the map. They must locate and touch the correct piece, which will then move into position on the map. The country name will be spoken aloud.
• In the second puzzle map lesson, children must find the country puzzle piece that matches the name shown at the top. For early readers or non-readers, they may simply touch the country name to hear it spoken aloud, aiding in their search.

This Montessori application was co-developed and approved by an AMI certified Montessori teacher with over forty years of experience teaching children!
